See you at the Minnesota Powershift Conference

Minnesota Powershift: Connecting Communities, Creating Change – October 3-5 at Washburn High School in Minneapolis
Minnesota Powershift is an inter-generational, participatory conference on climate, energy, sustainable development, and social justice. It will integrate community building and organizing with art, music, creative writing, political action, skills trainings, and open dialogue about the most pressing issues of our time. Oxfam Action Corps - MN volunteers will present a workshop on the human consequences of climate change. The presentation will feature video clips from the new Sisters on the Planet DVD.

Register now at www.mnpowershift.org. You’ll learn what you need to help fight climate change and build a sustainable, green future. The conference features U.S. Representative Keith Ellison and social justice advocate Jack Nelson-Palmeyer on Friday night, as well as a concert by musical guest State Radio. On Saturday, there will be workshops, a dynamic panel discussion, and time to socialize with fellow attendees.

A nominal registration fee provides access to the entire conference, including three meals, concert admission, and extensive materials. So come and learn first hand from regional leaders about what you can do to help fight the impending climate crisis, tell your friends and sign up at www.mnpowershift.org. Be sure to attend the Oxfam Action Corps – MN workshop on the human face of climate change. We’ll also be working an outreach table, so email us at minnesota@oxfamactioncorps.org to volunteer.
