August's Oxfam Action Corps - Minnesota monthly meeting will begin with a powerful video from FRONTLINE World, titled Living on the Edge: The human consequences of a human consequences of a warming planet. The piece sets the stakes of Oxfam America's climate change campaign. We'll meet in the Common Room of the fantastic Common Roots Cafe in Minneapolis (26th and Lyndale Ave.) at 7 pm on August 18. Please join us.We meet at Common Roots at 7pm on the third Monday of each month. While making the most of the cafe's tasty food and drinks, we plan our grassroots efforts to promote lasting solutions to poverty and injustice. Everyone is welcome to attend these gatherings and anyone can become an Oxfam Action Corps volunteer. Our team is entirely volunteer driven. Because of the video and planning our participation in the Ripple Effect festival, Monday's meeting will be very engaging.
