Last night's monthly meeting at Common Roots Cafe in Minneapolis was a great success. Ten motivated volunteers talked about the human consequences of a changing climate and brainstormed ways that we can make a difference. Our schedule of outreach events is growing by the day, so there are plenty of opportunities to get involved. More and more people around the Twin Cities feel empowered by Oxfam's message of hope for poor communities around the world that are already feeling the effects of climate change.Our meetings are a time to be with other people who want to live in a more just world and who are alarmed by the poverty in it. Join us at our next meeting on September 18th - at Common Roots of course - or volunteer at one of the many events coming up.
