Help us make a splash at Ripple Effect

Volunteer with Oxfam Action Corps - Minnesota at Ripple Effect, an exciting progressive festival expected to draw over 7,000 people on September 2 on the lawn of the State Capitol. Held less than a mile from the Republican National Convention, Ripple Effect will be a nonpartisan event, featuring outstanding bands, inspiring artists, and empowering information. It's free and open to the public. Substance, a non-profit bridging music, arts, and activism, is organizing the festival. Here's how they describe it:

"Ripple Effect - a daylong festival propelling a new wave of progressive action outside the RNC - will go beyond the convention and beyond partisanship to empower and unite a diverse range of people with varying backgrounds and interests."

Read more about Ripple Effect, including lists of the bands performing and celebrity speakers at www.rippleeffect08.com. We'll have an outreach table and Oxfam America will be a partner in the event.

Help us take advantage of this tremendous opportunity. By volunteering with the Oxfam Action Corps team, you'll be helping put lasting solutions to global poverty and injustice on the RNC agenda while empowering others to take action. Together, we can make a difference so please join us on September 2 for this once in a lifetime experience! Send us an email now at minnesota@oxfamactioncorps.org for details and more information about volunteering.
