A native of Ethiopia and children’s literacy advocate, Gebregeorgis will share his personal journey about his work setting up libraries and promoting reading in Ethiopia. Gebregeorgis is founder of Ethopia Reads and was recently honored as a CNN Hero of the Week, which recognized his work to bring positive global change by empowering children through education. Sponsored by The Friends of the Minneapolis Public Library. This special event is free and open to the public.
