Action Alert! Support the Fairness in Farm & Food Policy Amendment

Your help is urgently needed to rally support for the Fairness in Farm & Food Policy Amendment to the 2007 Farm Bill in the US House. Instead of upholding the status quo of corporate welfare and poverty abroad, the amendment would shift funds from trade-distorting subsidies into other priorities, such as food stamps, conservation, and programs that help minority and socially disadvantaged farmers.

Be sure to tell the staff member who answers the phone that you are a constituent and want your representative to vote YES ON THE FAIRNESS AMENDMENT to the Farm Bill. You want a Farm Bill that shifts away from trade-distorting subsidies, caps payments at $250,000, and uses the savings to help poor and minority farmers, the environment, and families that depend on food stamps.
