Speak Up: End Global Poverty at the Midtown Global Market!

Everyone is invited to stop by the Midtown Global Market, located at Lake Street and Chicago Avenue in Minneapolis, on Saturday, June 30 from 11:00am - 8:00pm for music, food, fun, and Farm Bill reform! We're calling the event Speak Out: End Global Poverty!
With food and crafts vendors from around the world, the Global Market is a natural place to raise awareness about the US Farm Bill's role in creating global poverty and Minnesota's exciting opportunity to be part of the solution over the coming months. During Speak Out: End Global Poverty, you'll even have the chance to get involved by writing to members of Congress. Throughout the day, Global Market visitors will enjoy:
  • Live music all day, with performances from a Mexican dance team, Salsa with RenĂ©, Kristy & Joel - Jazz Duo, and the Dennys Burga Quartet.
  • 10% off from participating Global Market vendors for individuals choosing to take action.
  • Short films on the Farm Bill’s role in poverty.
  • Free, non-partisan literature on the issues.
  • Volunteers representing a variety of interests will be available for questions.
And all of this is in addition to the exciting activities of Global Bike Days, also at the Global Market on Saturday!

It's a unique opportunity to come together as a community to make a real difference toward ending poverty and injustice worldwide. Please join us at the Midtown Global Market on June 30 between 11:00am - 8:00pm!
