The Oxfam MN Action Corps tabled at the Flogging Molly concert held at First Avenue Sunday, March 9th. It was a sold out event that showcased the Irish punk rockers spirit and commitment to the mission of Oxfam.
We were joined at the table before their set by the bassist Nathen Maxwell, who championed Oxfam’s work and supported our presence.
We asked guests at the show to sign the petition supporting women farmers, and to consider their role in the global community and what they can do to end poverty, hunger, and injustice around the world. Oxfam is always well received by First Avenue audiences and it’s great to know that there are a variety of musicians that support Oxfam.
We had shin splints from jumping up and down for nearly two hours.
We are members of their extended family as we are now part of the legion of loyal Flogging Molly fans!
