From Minnesota to Cancun and Back Again

Minnesota was well represented at the Cancun Climate Conference. We had a lot of fun following our friends Paul Thompson, Reed Aronow, Valida Prentice, and Alec Neal while they were in Cancun. Now, they're back. Join them and hear first hand about the conference and next steps at this free event organized by 1Sky Minnesota, Cool Planet, and Citizens Climate Energy:

Climate Solutions – from Minnesota to Cancun and Back Again
A report from local residents who were delegates to the recent international conference on climate change

Monday, January 10, 7 to 8:30 pm
Southdale Library, 7000 York Ave. S., Edina, MN

Speakers:
  • Reed Aronow and Valida Prentice, both youth delegates to Cancun and Copenhagen conferences
  • Paul Thompson, Edina Energy and Environment Commission member and also delegate to both Copenhagen and Cancun
  • Alec Neal, who did a cross-country bike trek on his way to Cancun, filming a documentary about solutions to the climate crisis along the way
In addition to the report from the Cancun conference, there will be information on a wide array of simple actions that local residents can take to help control climate change.

This session is sponsored by 1Sky.org-Minnesota, Cool Planet and Citizens Climate Energy; it’s free and the public is invited to attend. For more information, contact Chuck Prentice at 612-965-8284.
