Next 100 Days Goals Update

The response to our "Next 100 Days Goals," announced on January 20, has been fantastic. These goals are designed to help keep the plight of the world's most vulnerable people, especially in respect to climate change, a priority during the new administration's first 100 days. In less than one month, Oxfam Action Corps - Minnesota volunteers have:
  • Delivered a presentation featuring the Sisters on the Planet video as part of the National Teach-In at the University of Minnesota's Bell Museum;
  • Connected with hundreds at concerts at the Triple Rock Social Club (part of our new Local Artists Initiative) and the Fine Line Music Cafe;
  • Put a human face on climate change through two Sisters on the Planet screenings in Minneapolis and Northfield;
  • Added several major events to the calendar.
The 14th Annual International Women's Day Celebration on March 14 at the University of Minnesota's Coffman Union is one major event we'll be part of.

On March 27th at First Avenue, Substance Presents Manifestation. Manifestation will feature outstanding acts including Sage Francis, Cecil Otter, B. Dolan, and more. Several area nonpartisan advocacy groups, including Oxfam Action Corps - Minnesota, will be highlighted. Stay tuned to the Substance website and this blog for more information.

One way you can help achieve the Next 100 Days Goals is to host or organize a Sisters on the Planet screening. Contact us to receive a Sisters DVD and more information.
