Minnesota is a ONE State, so take action at Ripple Effect!

The Twin Cities are ONE Cities! On August 20, Governor Pawlenty signed a proclamation declaring Minnesota a "ONE State" united against global poverty and preventable disease. Additionally, Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak and Saint Paul Mayor Chris Coleman have declared their cities "ONE Cities." Becoming a state or city of ONE is to recognize the crisis of abject poverty and the need for governments and individuals to take action. It's an initative of our friends and allies at the ONE Campaign. Congratulations to them for so successfully bringing ONE to Minnesota!

You can make a difference at Ripple Effect. In his declaration, Governor Pawlenty urged Minnesotans to take action against poverty. You'll have an opportunity to do just that by volunteering with us at Ripple Effect 2008, an exciting festival of music, arts, and nonpartisan activism held September 2nd on the State Capitol Lawn during the Republican National Convention. Help us bring global poverty awareness to thousands at our Ripple Effect outreach tent. Click here for a pdf with specifics on why and how you can get involved. It's gauranteed to be a great experience and an incredible opportunity to put the world's poor on the agenda during the RNC.

We need your help to maxamize this opportunity. All it takes to make a difference at Ripple Effect is a passion for lasting solutions to poverty and injustice.
